Our History
Arnott Commercial Insurance Services Ltd was formed in 1996 by the current M.D., Gerard O’Connor, and Brooks Mileson, owner of the Arnott Insurance personal lines network. The aim was to provide a specialist commercial broking unit to support the existing personal lines High Street based business.

The business grew rapidly and further expansion occurred following the sale of the personal lines network in 2000. The company followed a structured growth programme with emphasis upon training and the requirement to ensure that the best levels of technical advice and service, as demanded in the Corporate sector, could be provided.
Arnott is a young, dynamic but highly professional company with a qualified management team reporting to a strategic M.D. We are an independent intermediary, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, not requiring support from any of the number of networks and affinity groups that are currently prevalent. This reinforces our autonomy and independent status.

The efforts and vision employed in the conception and implementation of the training and management programmes put in place to achieve FSA authorisation, has resulted in Arnott achieving IIP and the prestigious ‘Key Champion’ award.
We are now recognised as being one of the most proactive and innovative providers of insurance and risk management programmes to business. We have one of the largest development teams in the North and as a result, are one of the largest and fastest growing independent intermediaries in the region.
